The California Post will bring The New York Post’s DNA of powerful, agenda-setting journalism to the West Coast and be a fresh and fearless voice for common sense. Our focus will also go well beyond hard-hitting news and iconoclastic opinion. The nationally recognized Page Six will bring its sassy and brassy attitude directly to the entertainment capital of the world. The California Post Sports department will deliver muscular coverage of the biggest teams in town, from the locker room to the front office. Our Tech team will reveal the latest innovators and innovations that will shape the nation’s future.
As part of this bold expansion into Los Angeles, we are looking for an Associate Digital Editor . Reporting into the Digital Editor, the Associate Digital Editor will help drive our digital-first publishing strategy by ensuring stories are packaged for maximum impact across platforms.

Responsibilities
Assist with daily digital publishing operations for the California Post
Edit stories for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with the Post’s style and voice
Ensure timely posting of content across all digital platforms
Package stories using SEO-driven keywords and update headlines as needed
Track performance in real time using analytics tools and adjust accordingly
Select and update photos, videos, and other digital assets to strengthen stories
Work across Airtable to manage workflows and maintain accuracy
Collaborate with reporters, editors, and producers to make coverage timely and compelling
Assist with broader digital production and packaging needs as required
Requirements
At least three years of newsroom experience, ideally at a digital-first publication
Strong familiarity with WordPress and Airtable
Proven ability to edit and publish stories quickly in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to write sharp, web‑friendly headlines
Excellent editorial judgment and strong communication skills
Comfort using analytics tools to track story performance and inform strategy
Experience with photo editing software and multimedia integration
Familiarity with social media as a tool for story discovery and promotion
Background in breaking news or fast‑moving editorial environments preferred
Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, startup newsroom environment where duties outside of your role may be required
Flexibility to work nights and weekends as news demands
Note: This role will be expected to report on‑site 5 days per week.
