Business Development Manager – Employer Partnerships and Sales (Sacramento/Bay Area or LA Region) IWSI America, in partnership with the California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR), is expanding apprenticeships across California’s growth industries. To make this happen, we need a proven Business Development Manager – Employer Partnerships and Sales to open doors, pitch, and close with some of the state’s largest employers.

This is a sales-first position: you’ll deliver measurable growth by building strategic partnerships with enterprise-level companies in retail, healthcare, logistics, hospitality, and beyond.

IWSI America is a 501(c)(3) and U.S. Department of Labor–registered apprenticeship sponsor, bringing the technical expertise, compliance, and employer support needed to make apprenticeships practical, scalable, and effective. This initiative strengthens employer pipelines while opening new career pathways for employees with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Build and manage a statewide pipeline of large employers.

Prospect, pitch, and close enterprise agreements with C‑suite and senior executives.

Lead high‑stakes conversations focused on ROI, workforce strategy, and competitive advantage.

Drive new revenue and partnership growth targets.

Qualifications

7–10 years of B2B sales or enterprise business development experience.

Proven record of quota‑carrying sales performance with enterprise accounts.

Experience selling workforce, training, or professional services solutions a plus.

Executive presence with the ability to influence senior decision‑makers.

Must be based where our programs are most active—Northern California (Sacramento or Bay Area) or Southern California (San Bernardino, Riverside, or Los Angeles)—with existing contacts in those regions.
