Join to apply for the Senior Marketing & Account Manager role at behindthechair.com The Senior Marketing & Account Manager will be a key strategic partner within our client operations and marketing ecosystem — driving revenue growth, guiding client strategy, and ensuring flawless execution across our advertising, influencer, editorial and design teams. This role is part of our larger Client & Advertising team and reports directly to the Director of Client Operations. We are looking for a highly strategic, proactive marketer with strong sales instincts and exceptional attention to detail. You will play a pivotal role in shaping full-funnel marketing programs, building long‑term client partnerships, and identifying new growth opportunities across our beauty industry clients. In this role, you’ll collaborate daily with internal teams — editorial, influencer, advertising, and design — to develop creative briefs, oversee campaign execution, and deliver meaningful results. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of brand partners, uncovering upsell opportunities, leading renewal conversations, and helping drive new business forward. The ideal candidate is equally strong in strategy, communication, execution, and relationship-building , with at least five years of marketing and/or sales experience. What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities) Client & Revenue Growth Own and grow a portfolio of brand partners by identifying upsell opportunities, proactively recommending new programs, and driving renewals. Lead client communications with a focus on revenue growth, retention, and strategic partnership development. Understand each client’s business goals, marketing funnel, KPIs, and product priorities — and translate them into actionable BTC programs that drive measurable results. Strategic Marketing & Campaign Planning Build strategic marketing recommendations and proposals across social, influencer, editorial, performance campaigns, and Beauty Box sampling opportunities. Develop full‑funnel marketing strategies (awareness → engagement → conversion) tailored to each client’s objectives. Guide clients on best practices, audience insights, marketing trends, and positioning within the beauty industry. Lead proposal creation including pitch decks, scopes, KPIs, timelines, and program structure. Collaborate with internal teams to price packages, forecast revenue, evaluate ROI, and refine offerings. Participate in outbound prospecting and new business conversations as needed — helping to bring in new sales opportunities and assist leadership in closing deals. Campaign Execution & Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with advertising, influencer, editorial, and design teams to ensure flawless execution of client campaigns. Develop creative, influencer, and editorial briefs that align with client objectives and maximize results. Review and evaluate creative assets, influencer selections, social concepts, and editorial angles to ensure quality and alignment. Performance Reporting & Insights Own weekly and monthly performance reporting, delivering clear insights and strong recommendations rooted in data. Identify optimization opportunities and pivot campaigns strategically when needed. Maintain overall account health and proactively communicate performance wins, learning, and next steps. Who You Are (Job Requirements) You bring a minimum of 5+ years of experience in marketing, sales, advertising, account management, or a hybrid revenue‑focused role. You have a proven track record of driving revenue growth, upselling, or successfully managing a book of business. You are a strategic marketer with an ability to build smart, creative solutions that ladder up to clientli> You are a strong, confident communicator — written, verbal, client‑facing, and cross‑functional. You have experience with or strong interest in the hair, beauty, wellness, and creator space. You’re experienced in building proposals , structuring programs, and articulating marketing recommendations. You have strong organization, project management, and time‑management skills. You love fast‑paced environments, are proactive, and stay several steps ahead. You thrive working independently while being highly collaborative with internal teams. You’re familiar with social media marketing, influencer campaigns, and analytics across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. You’re comfortable using CRM tools, project management platforms, and Google/Office suite. You have excellent interpersonal skills — relationship‑building is one of your strengths. You are willing to travel for client events or internal meetings as needed (est. 3–5 trips/year). Bonus: You’ve worked with any of the following — Google Data Studio, Monday.com, Hootsuite, or other scheduling/analytics tools.
