Job Summary As Regional Community Engagement Manager , you will join our Sustainability team, reporting to the Global Head of Sustainability and the regional President. Your role will provide regional support to local teams across the operational lifecycle—growth, construction, operation, closure, and divestment—raising awareness on social risk assessment, investment program development, grievance mechanisms, community agreements, and more. Key Responsibilities Support local and regional teams in developing, implementing, and tracking community engagement activities in alignment with ContourGlobal’s policies and international standards. Maintain a Social and Environmental Obligations register, ensuring all permit conditions, legal requirements, community agreements, and social obligations are tracked and escalated as needed. Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, indigenous groups, public institutions, and other regional stakeholders. Lead stakeholder mapping, field diagnostics, and regular community perception assessments. Facilitate participatory processes such as consultations, workshops, and community meetings to ensure inclusive engagement. Develop and implement risk‑management processes, including risk registers and controls to support global aggregation. Oversee data quality and completeness, feeding inputs into KPIs and reporting requirements such as Annual Sustainability Reporting. Monitor the regulatory climate in operating countries, ensuring stakeholders are informed of changes that could impact the business. Support due diligence and engagement with external developers on co‑development projects. Monitor and report on community‑related risks, opportunities, conflicts, complaints, and grievances, supporting mitigation and conflict‑resolution initiatives. Develop training materials to raise community‑management awareness and sustainability practices. Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external audiences, including regulatory compliance reporting. Support the development, implementation, and tracking of community investment projects, including proposals co‑created with local stakeholders. Collaborate with internal departments—Environmental, Legal, Construction, Procurement, Operations—to align social activities with project timelines and operational needs. Assist legal teams in assessing potential compliance issues related to community‑relations activities. Support investigation of community‑related incidents and assurance programs for community engagement processes. Develop strong relationships and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to improve consistency and quality of Community Engagement performance. Handle RFP scoping and development, consultant management, and budget controls. Qualifications And Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, social performance management, community relations, or a related discipline. Professional designations such as Canadian Certified Inclusion Professional (CCIP™) or Certified Community Manager (CCM) are preferred. Experience: 5‑8 years of recent, relevant experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, or social performance roles in an industrial sector. Skills: Strong presentation and computer skills—Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Power BI—and experience with community engagement tracking platforms. Travel: Frequent travel (~30%) required.
