Responsibilities
Write clear and accurate digital content for the WFIE news website and streaming platforms.
Work under intense pressure and tight deadlines while maintaining strong initiative and attention to detail.
Collaborate with the news team to decide which stories to produce and report, and with news anchors and the digital content team to produce and execute concise information and/or news stories for online and streaming viewers.
Assist other digital content producers and fill in on digital content shifts when needed.
Quickly recognize and organize stories for digital platforms and broadcast.
Qualifications
Excellent writing skills and ability to visualize how the story should be represented across digital platforms.
Two to three years of digital content producing experience or other broadcast experience preferred; college degree in journalism or related field required.
Strong social media skills, calm in the heat of the moment, and able to steer the story in the right direction.
