We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Studio Photographer to lead and develop our in‑house photography studio. This role focuses on producing high‑quality photography for fashion bedding, bath, and window treatment products. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for composition, lighting, and styling, ensuring that all imagery aligns with brand standards and enhances the customer experience across e‑commerce, print, and social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and start an in‑house photography studio from the ground up
Capture high‑resolution images of bedding, bath, and window treatment products in studio settings
Ensure accurate color representation and texture detail for online and print use
Collaborate with stylists and creative teams to arrange products for aesthetically pleasing and brand‑consistent shots
Maintain visual consistency across all product categories
Set up and adjust studio lighting to achieve desired effects
Operate and maintain photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and backdrops
Retouch and edit images for color correction, background cleanup, and optimization for various platforms
Ensure all images meet technical specifications for e‑commerce and marketing channels
Work closely with the marketing, design, and merchandising teams to meet project deadlines
Participate in creative brainstorming sessions for seasonal campaigns and product launches
Review and approve final images before publishing
Maintain organized digital asset libraries for easy retrieval
Additional Responsibilities
Managing Resources: Ability to work in a culture of collaboration, professional development, and continuous improvement within the department. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and expertise
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Product Development, Design, Sales, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and IT, to align systems and processes with business needs. Communicate effectively with management, providing updates on project status, system changes, and process improvements
Project Management & Support: Support projects in the areas of Accounting and Claims Management
Continuous Improvement: Develop and drive process enhancements and automation within the region, supporting Lean initiatives and implementing innovative solutions to optimize Accounting and Claims operations, reporting, and overall efficiency
Required Professional Experience & Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in photography, Visual Arts, Media Production, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Minimum 8+ years of professional photography experience, preferably in lifestyle, product, or interior photography
Strong portfolio that demonstrates expertise in composition, lighting, and styling for brand storytelling
Proficiency in directing stylists to achieve natural, brand‑aligned imagery
Required Specific Technical Skills and Knowledge
Proven experience in setting up and managing a photo studio, including equipment procurement, space layout, and safety compliance
Ability to develop production schedules, shot lists, and asset tracking for consistent delivery across product categories
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail under tight deadlines
Understanding of props, set design, and styling coordination for lifestyle and brand shoots
Experience collaborating with marketing, design, and e‑commerce teams to translate creative briefs into compelling visuals
Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage photographers, stylists, retouchers, and freelancers
Ability to adapt creative direction based on brand feedback and campaign goals
Business & Operational Expertise
Budget management skills for equipment, staffing, and studio upkeep
Knowledge of copyright, licensing, and image usage rights for internal and external assets
Understanding of brand consistency across digital, print, and social media channels
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move products and props (up to 50 lbs)
Comfortable working in a studio environment for extended periods
