Job Summary / Description WRDW-TV/WAGT-TV in Augusta, Georgia, is hiring a Multimedia Journalist for the morning news team. This role is not for influencers or entertainment/feature reporters but for journalists who connect meaningfully to the community, share impactful stories, and thrive on breaking news. The Multimedia Journalist will aggressively cover breaking news, working with a photographer to report live from the field during the morning newscast, and advance stories as they develop. When not in the field, the position involves enterprise news content creation—researching, shooting, writing, and editing scripts and video for the morning newscast. Qualifications / Requirements Strong, take-charge personality able to execute compelling live shots and uncover exclusive details on developing breaking news. Self-starter, competitive, and works well under tight deadlines. Degree in broadcast journalism or a related field. Ability to turn hard-news packages daily with attention to accuracy, detail, compelling sound, and solid broadcast-style writing.
