Member Relationship Specialist
- Desoto Branch Position Purpose and Objectives Currently, we are seeking a Member Relationship Specialist who will assist new and potential members in identifying membership and lending needs and delivering solutions to their financial needs. Major Duties and Essential Functions To “deliver an unexpected experience” by consistently providing outstanding service to internal and external members with every interaction. Uncover member needs by asking questions and provide solutions to their needs. Proactively discuss and refer additional products to internal partners. Process requests for memberships, depository accounts, loans, and account maintenance services. Regularly follow up with members to ensure that their financial needs are met and uncover any additional needs they may have. Responsible to meet or exceed established sales and service goals. Remain up to date on current products, services, and marketing campaigns through attending training, and remaining familiar with all changes and disclosures. Remain compliant with all financial regulations including: BSA, OFAC, Reg CC, USA PATRIOT Act, etc. as they apply to the duties of the position. Maintain confidentiality of member information and other sensitive information. Promote strategic initiatives and objectives throughout the Credit Union to help meet set goals. Enhance organization-wide communication. Motivate fellow staff to meet or exceed set goals. Seek to understand and appreciate different perspectives and employee feedback from other departments. Positions directly supervised : N/A Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position: Must be goal-oriented Must be service-oriented Problem-solving competence with a strong attention to detail Must be self-motivated to meet required sales goals Must have strong listening skills Must have strong written and verbal communication skills Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to a consistently changing environment Must be a TEAM player and be able to work well in a group setting Education : High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Experience : Minimum 1-2 years or more of similar or related experience. Physical Activities and Requirements of this Position CATEGORY DESCRIPTION Finger Dexterity: Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together. Grasping: Using fingers and palm on an object. Talking: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly. Repetitive Motions: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Average Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents, products, or operate machinery. Sedentary Work: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently talk or hear, sit, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands or arms. The employee will occasionally stand and walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will occasionally lift and move up to 20 pounds.
