Apartment Leasing Consultant, NRI - SS

Our team of apartment managers and leasing agents are passionate about providing exceptional, high‑touch customer service to residents and prospects, building rapport with residents, and increasing retention in the communities they serve.
Key Responsibilities
Handles phone inquiries and meets company goals for appointment conversion.
Greets and qualifies prospects by covering all criteria.
Inspects models and available units every day.
Communicates related service needs to maintenance supervisor.
Updates availability report, processes applications for approvals (e.g., credit check, rental history, etc.) and submits processed applications to the Senior Property Manager for approval; follows up with applicant regarding status.
Demonstrates product knowledge to prospects for all communities, communicates and sells the features and benefits; closes the sale.
Secures new resident’s signatures on appropriate paperwork prior to move‑in and orients new residents to the community.
Answers questions for residents about community, repairs, rent, rules, etc.
Prepares lease and completes appropriate paperwork and gives to Financial Administration Manager for input.
Typical Skills and Experiences Education:
High school diploma.
License/Designation/Certification:
Apartment Management Designation such as National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) preferred.
Experience:
Prior leasing or sales experience required.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Understands and aligns with fair housing laws along with state landlord‑tenant law. Strong customer service, marketing, closing, communication and ability to self‑direct. Leadership skills, competencies and experiences may also take precedence.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Reports to Senior Property Manager.
Job Conditions Overtime Eligibility:
Non‑Exempt (Eligible).
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment and some weekends.
