We are currently hiring for a QA Underwriter at AXA Ireland!

Reporting to the Underwriting Governance Manager, you will support the underwriting quality assurance programme to ensure the integrity and quality of the business written across multiple classes of business, distribution channels and -jurisdictions.

You'll work majority of your week away from home. Away from home means either attendance at one of our head office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you’ll be doing: Central QA

Conduct comprehensive quality audits and reviews across all business classes, including retail and commercial sectors in both ROI and NI. This includes accounts audits, brokers (including schemes and MGAs), franchises, branches, and affinity groups.

Ensure all audits are completed within scheduled timelines in order to report on adherence to underwriting standards.

Collaborate with Underwriting and Distribution teams to develop actionable improvement plans, monitor progress, and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with Distribution Managers, Underwriting Portfolio Managers, Area Managers, and Local QA review teams.

Manage and monitor the technical aspects of the QA Framework (Call QA), with a focus on improving scores where appropriate.

Foster a robust and collaborative relationship with the TQM (Total Quality Management) team to support continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Local QA

Conducting validation on all monthly team reviews and providing detailed reports to relevant Managers, highlighting results and key findings.

Participating in moderation sessions to enhance the quality of frontline QA audits and drive continuous improvement in audit standards.

Delivering training on new Quality Assurance initiatives and providing ongoing support and guidance to staff involved in QA roles, such as Local QA reviewers.

Responsible for preparing monthly MI reports and managing timely uploads to QA Net (File QA) platform.>

Underwriting

Participate in cross-functional projects within the Underwriting Department to support broader team objectives and initiatives when required.

What we’re looking for:

Minimum 3 years total work experience with at least 2 years’ experience in Technical Underwriting, Quality Assurance, or an equivalent role in Sales and Distribution [Essential]

APA PL &CL (mandatory) working towards CIP . [Essential]

Up-to-date, detailed knowledge of AXA’s underwriting products, rating, and acceptance criteria across various distribution channels.

Strong planning skills with the ability to manage workload efficiently and complete projects within deadlines.

Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of presenting and explaining findings clearly, along with recommended actions.

Ability to foster a collaborative environment by encouraging others to think critically and identify potential improvements.

Proficient in PC skills, with the ability to produce clear and comprehensive reports detailing findings and recommendations.

Good understanding of relevant legislation and market agreements to ensure compliance.

Awareness of the overall compliance to Health & Safety, IT Security and all legislation / compliance in Underwriting.

Within the Data Protection Act and AXA Global Security guidelines, utilises IT systems and packages to generate information and enhance presentation and quality of work.
