Job Purpose The National Competition Manager oversees Nordica’s Race program and the operational management of the Freeski program in the United States. This role ensures best-in-class athlete service, equipment management, and event execution to strengthen Nordica’s credibility and visibility within competitive ski communities. Working closely with the North American Marketing & Communications Manager, this position collaborates with the US Marketing Activation Specialist to align competition-driven storytelling with brand campaigns, and with the Marketing & Communications Specialist to support communication, administration, and digital coordination for athlete and club programs.

Duties and Responsibilities Athlete, Club & Coach Relations

Serve as the primary contact for U.S. Race and Freeski athletes, coaches, and clubs.

Manage athlete onboarding, communication, and annual program planning.

Build and sustain strong relationships within the competitive ski community to reinforce Nordica’s on-snow presence.

Responsible for recruiting key coaches and athletes to promote the brand at the local and national level.

Responsible for supporting and servicing Certified Race Centers and Certified Pro Centers and driving traffic to them.

Equipment Service & Program Operations

Oversee allocation, setup, and servicing of skis, boots, and related equipment for Race and Freeski athletes.

Manage demo and testing fleets, ensuring readiness for competition and training environments.

Coordinate with Product and R&D teams to deliver athlete feedback and support product testing initiatives.

Maintain inventory tracking, service tools, and logistics for all program operations.

Event & Competition Activation

Plan and attend key regional and national Race and Freeski events to ensure athlete visibility and service excellence.

Coordinate Nordica’s fit‑day schedules, demo events, and on‑snow testing activations.

Represent Nordica at national competitions, USST events, and industry gatherings.

Support athlete‑based promotional opportunities in partnership with the US Marketing Activation Specialist.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Reporting

Collaborate with the US Marketing Activation Specialist on campaign integration, athlete content, and event alignment.

Partner with the Marketing & Communications Specialist for program communication, registration, and digital coordination.

Work closely with Sales and Product teams on event participation, inventory planning, and forecasting.

Manage program budgets and provide reporting on event performance, athlete engagement, and ROI.

Experience / Education

Minimum 5 years of experience in race service, athlete support, or competition operations. Demonstrated organizational and communication skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent programs. Experience within alpine competition environments preferred.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with CRM tools and inventory management platforms preferred.

Additional Skills

Deep understanding of competitive ski culture and service standards

Strong interpersonal communication and relationship‑building skills

Ability to operate independently in dynamic, field‑based environments

Detail‑oriented, dependable, and highly organized

Physical Requirements Requires frequent travel and on‑snow work in varied weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Office, event, and mountain environments.
