The Baseball Strategy & Information team supports the Major League Coaching Staff and Baseball Operations leadership with data and insights needed for strategic decision making. As a Senior Analyst, you will collaborate with team members to build reports and visualizations, providing actionable insights that impact nightly decision making for the Major League team.

Job Functions

Drive the lifecycle for select Baseball Strategy products, from ideation to implementation, designing, building, and deploying high‑impact analytics solutions while managing stakeholder collaboration and feedback loops.

Deliver actionable insights that impact decision‑making across baseball operations, conducting rigorous research in areas such as player evaluation, game strategy, and performance science.

Serve as a liaison between MLB coaches and Baseball Operations, translating baseball and technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.

Foster a collaborative data‑driven culture: evaluate the impact of current analytics products and mentor junior analysts and non‑technical staff.

Support Director and Assistant Director in department operations, logistics, and planning across recruiting/hiring and data vendor decisions.

Leverage advanced statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and database querying (SQL) to innovate on existing analysis and products, and support development of new techniques and processes.

Basic Requirements & Qualifications

Experience delivering accurate work consistently on short timelines in a high‑pressure environment.

Experience distilling complex analyses into compelling, executive‑level narratives and visualizations.

A solution‑oriented approach to professional challenges, prioritizing learning and innovation.

Minimum of 4 years’ work experience in Baseball Operations, Baseball Analytics, or a similar baseball industry role.

BS or B.S. in mathematics, economics, statistics, computer science, data science, operations research, or a related quantitative field.

Some experience and familiarity with R, Python, SQL, or Git, preferably in a non‑classroom environment.

Experience playing on a sports team or working within the sports industry is preferred (college or professional).

Knowledge of data visualization principles to aid communication of information to non‑technical audiences.

Ability to relocate to Los Angeles and commute to Dodger Stadium.

Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to work frequent overtime including evenings, weekends, and holidays; overtime compensation will be provided according to company policy and applicable laws.
