Duties
Keep in regular communication with the Patrol Officers via radio contact.
Keep a log of all Campus Safety and Security activities during the day.
Answer all calls directed to the CSSP department phone. Be able to prioritize calls during emergencies.
Coordinate all EMS and CSSP personnel during emergency situations.
Monitor the surveillance systems.
Monitor intrusion alarm systems.
Monitor access control screen.
Greet and direct incoming guests and visitors. Provide guest parking passes, directions, and other assistance as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
Minimum cell phone use.
Required Skills
Ability to communicate clearly on the phone, over the radio, and in person.
Type 35 words per minute.
Friendly and helpful.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
Keep a clear head in emergency situations.
Be able to study for and pass basic CSSP codes and skills test (studying and training is on the job)
Maintain a professional demeanor.
Required Education and Certificates
California driver's license
Pass a background check, no criminal record
Must be over 18
CPR/First aid certification preferred. The department will assist with training as needed.
Availability
Open 24/7
Grave, day, and evening shifts available
Must be willing to work weekend shifts
Wage Range: $16.50 to $17.30 per hour
