Responsible for primary leadership and management of service staff. In addition, may perform Account Executive responsibilities as applicable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Participates with Producer and operations and/or staff or Regional managers in planning unit goals and objectives;

Ensures that work assignments delegated to staff are aligned with unit goals and objectives;

Manages staff including; motivating/mentoring staff, providing employee training and development, conducting performance reviews and performing disciplinary action as appropriate;

Recommends personnel/staffing needs to operations and/or staff or Regional managers;

Conducts interviews and recommends candidate hires to operations and/or staff manager;

Coordinates new hire on-boarding with Human Resources department and East Region onboarding team;

Manages unit schedule, receives and approves timecards and time off requests;

Reviews and pre-approves Professional Development requests; forwards to operations and/or staff manager for final approval;

Develops strong working relationships with staff and Producers;

Gathers new and lost business reports;

Prepares reports including expiration and policy status reports for team;

Encourages and facilitates carrier and/or brokerage relations including carrier promotions, products knowledge and systems usage and/or training;

Maintains regular communication with Staff or Regional Managers and Operations Manager;

Attends company sponsored training and development programs as mandated;

Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree orequivalent combination of education and experience

Eight (8) or more yearsrelated work experience, including Three (3) or more years of management experience

Valid Insurance License

Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal

Encouraged to complete Career Path requirements as communicated by supervisor
