About The Role The Commercial Strategy Manager will play a critical role in streamlining the operational functions of the team’s go‑to‑market strategy. This person will manage our largest payor accounts, build and maintain relationships with key payor teams, organize QBRs, and lead the annual account goal‑setting process. The responsibilities of this role will impact broader payor strategy and help drive our Commercial KPIs, many of which are top organizational priorities for leadership. This position requires strong account management skills, attention to detail, and proactive cross‑functional collaboration to deliver valuable insights to the organization. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, eager to develop a deep understanding of payor workflows and stakeholder relationships at a fast‑paced, mission‑driven organization.
Responsibilities
Serve as lead partner for our largest payors – act as primary, client‑facing point of contact and owner of end‑to‑end payor relationship
Own quarterly business review (QBR) process with top health plans, prepare executive level materials and lead presentation in meetings
Lead annual account goal‑setting and performance review process
Analyze claims and clinical outcomes analysis to support Charlie Health competitive differentiation and nuances in payor performance
Manage 1–2 analysts to support account management functions (e.g., creating support materials, conducting analysis, etc.)
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (Finance, GTM, Legal, Partnerships, RCM, etc.) to negotiate health plan contracts, identify partnership opportunities, and resolve operational & billing remediation issues
Create and streamline repeatable GTM processes, tools, and templates to scale commercial initiatives and ensure consistent account execution
Assist with scaling Commercial team initiatives over time to meet the needs of Charlie Health
Requirements
At least 4–6+ years of relevant professional experience, including 1–2 years in investment banking, consulting, high‑growth start‑ups, or similarly fast‑paced environments
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related analytical field
Experience diagnosing operational bottlenecks, designing scalable solutions, and driving implementation across cross‑functional teams
Strong analytical acumen with advanced Excel skills; proficiency in SQL and Python is a plus
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high‑impact projects and workstreams in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills— in client‑facing and internal settings
Strong bias for action, with a track record of proactively taking ownership and driving initiatives to completion
Meticulous attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills
Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
Located within a 45‑minute commute of New York City and able to work on‑site four days per week

Additional Information The total target base compensation for this role will be between $140,000 and $165,000 per year at the commencement of employment. In addition to base compensation, this role also offers a performance bonus. The expected total cash compensation range, including potential bonus, will be between $154,000 and $181,000 per year. Pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location, experience, expertise, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
