Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Records and maintains data in accordance with GAAP using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and accounting software.
Becomes an expert in all funding sources to include: a full understanding of all the program funding source rules and regulations for all waiver types, VRS, and grant funding. Understands the differences between all of MRCI’s revenue streams.
Processes all billing and collections for funding sources.
Reconciles accounts in a timely manner. Verifies items on the balance sheet are accurate and double checks entries to ensure accurate financial statements and reduce risk of fraud.
Supports Case Managers in verifying, clarifying and updating service agreements.
Enters all billing data into the appropriate account.
Is responsible for the necessary follow up on past due accounts, which may include phone contact or written communication.
Maintains a filing system for assigned reports and accounting functions.
Understands and assists with duties of other accounting staff and serves as back‑up in their absence.
Secures confidential information to protect staff, clients and proprietary knowledge.
Performs other duties as assigned.
