Job Overview As the Global Indirect Tax Manager, you’ll deliver a full range of tax planning, consulting, and compliance services for your clients. You’ll collaborate with the Global Indirect Tax team, lead staff on various tax matters, and manage all phases of project and engagement management.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

Manage, direct, and monitor multiple client service teams; plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects across a wide variety of industries.

Provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients.

Develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects and assess performance for engagement and year‑end reviews.

Contribute to practice development through process improvements, thought leadership, and team collaboration.

Develop and deliver project proposals, including detailed workplans and fee quotes, to prospective clients.

Manage project budgets and financial administration, preparing invoices and monitoring/collecting outstanding accounts receivable.

Serve as a U.S. state and local Sales/Use Tax and related indirect taxes subject‑matter resource, with particular expertise in Washington State excise tax.

Manage and deliver U.S. State and Local Indirect Tax consulting services, focusing on Sales/Use Tax, including:

Reverse audits (refund claims)

Audit defense and controversy support

Multi‑state nexus analyses

Researching state and local tax issues, preparing technical memoranda and client correspondence

Exposure quantification and remediation planning

Registration and voluntary disclosure agreement processes across states

ASC 450 reviews

Sales/use tax due diligence analyses

Administrative and compliance support, including preparing, reviewing, and filing returns and responding to state inquiries

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Minimum six years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience.

CPA, JD, or Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong project management skills, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Support business development activities, including proposal development and pursuit activities.

Strong computer skills.

Ability to travel as needed.

Salary The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Bellevue, WA office is between $121,000 and $181,400.
