We are a leading
Commercial/Industrial/Multifamily General Contractor
seeking an experienced and dedicated
Jobsite Superintendent
to be singularly responsible for the successful on-site delivery of our projects. This pivotal role requires a hands‑on leader to oversee every on‑site aspect, from project initiation to final turnover.
Base pay range $110,000.00/yr - $152,000.00/yr
Position Summary The Superintendent is responsible for the proper planning, organization, implementation, and control of all on‑site events. You will be the main point of contact for managing the production of on‑site information, ensuring all duties, tasks, schedules, and safety protocols are strictly followed.
Responsibilities
On‑Site Leadership:
Provide leadership and promote positive morale on projects. Maintain a continuous presence on‑site while overseeing laborers and subcontractors.
Project Control:
Oversee every on‑site aspect of project delivery. Utilize company resources to properly plan, organize, implement, and control the project outcome.
Scheduling & Coordination:
Develop and refine the overall Project Schedule and review it weekly. Provide a 3‑week look‑ahead schedule. Schedule materials and subcontracts in advance.
Contract & Subcontractor Management:
Thoroughly review, analyze, and evaluate all subcontractor scopes of work. Manage subcontractors scheduled completion. Verify every subcontractor has completed their contractual obligations prior to leaving the project.
Safety & Compliance:
Singularly responsible for Site Safety. Ensure all work rules related to our safety program and cleanliness standards are strictly enforced.
Documentation & Communication:
Produce daily reports and a minimum of 10 pictures per day. Be the main point of contact, working with architects, engineers, project engineers, and project managers.
Issue & Conflict Resolution:
Address conflict resolution by bringing forth a minimum of one solution to any issue. Resolve all issues related to the fieldwork whenever appropriate.
Closeout:
Manage Project punch list Management and Project Turnover Management/Ownership. Manage the punch‑list and closeout process with the Project Engineer.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience:
5+ years
as a commercial or industrial superintendent with a focus on
ground‑up projects .
Certifications:
OSHA 30Hr
and
First Aid Certificate
are required.
Technical Acumen:
Advanced knowledge of the entire construction process.
Technical Background:
A technical background in site work, foundations, structural designs, mechanical and electrical systems, and the overall integrity of the building envelope.
Software Skills:
Strong working knowledge of software programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Projects.
Problem Solving:
Ability to see the “big picture” and thoroughly competent in managing conflict resolution. Must be able to solve practical problems where only limited information may exist.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organization:
Proven organizational skills with great attention to all details.
Safety Knowledge:
Knowledge of OSHA requirements pertinent to the construction industry.
