Diesel Mechanic – West Sacramento, CA – R+L Carriers
Full‑time, Monday – Friday, various shifts. Salary: $40.38 per hour. PTO after 90 days.
Responsibilities
Preventative maintenance on Class 8 trucks and trailers, including minor and major repairs.
Maintain auxiliary equipment – overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding units where applicable.
Perform routine engine and transmission diagnostics on Cummins & Detroit engines.
Use Cetaris work orders for scheduling and record‑keeping.
Qualifications
Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
Ability to conduct major repairs on high‑capacity diesel engines.
Experience with AC and electrical systems.
Lifting capability of 50 lbs.
Own personal tool set.
Preferred
Experience with Cummins & Detroit engines.
Experience using Cetaris work order system.
Class A CDL holder.
Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks.
Experience in trailer preventive maintenance and repairs.
