Our team is looking for an experienced
Pile Driver
to join one of our pile or sheeting crews. In this role you will be responsible for safely and efficiently install various types of piles, sheeting, and shoring systems in support of our various construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. To succeed, you must ensure that you are living by MEB’s core values on the project every day and that quality, health, and safety standards onsite are your top priority.

Core Areas of Responsibility.
Tasks may include offloading material, assembling equipment, and rigging loads.
Operation of hydraulically and diesel driven pile hammers with fixed or swinging leads to drive various types of piles including concrete, sheet, H-pile, pipe pile, etc.
Utilizing vibratory hammers to drive sheet piling.
Installing shoring systems including walers and struts.
Utilizing basic load charts for cranes and hoisting equipment.
Recording pile blow counts.
Assisting pile crew members, and, at times, other crews including carpenters, finishers, pipelayers, operators, laborers, and pipefitters with various tasks as directed by the Superintendent.
A minimum 3 years of experience in heavy construction, specifically with knowledge of sheet, concrete, H-pile, and pipe pile.
Ability to read and understand load charts, blueprints, diagrams, and grades and instructions from supervisors, lay out the job, and work efficiently with the materials and tools of your trade.
Able to perform manual labor in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting (in excess of 50 lbs.) for an 8 – 10-hour workday.
The ability to comprehend and follow specific instructions.
Interpersonal competencies that include a drive for results, the need for closure, effective oral communication skills, organization, planning, trust, respect, being dependable and cooperation.
Good housekeeping standards and ability to observe safety procedures and report any potentially unsafe conditions to management.
Requirements.
18 years of Age
Able to Pass a Drug Test
Legally Eligible to Work in the US
If assigned to a government project, US citizenship and clear background check may be required.
Additional Requirements For Craftworkers.
Must have own transportation to and from jobsite every workday (driver's license not required)
Must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools)
