Job Summary As the Residential Electrician Quality Assurance Technician you will physically inspect residential houses to ensure that all lighting, devices, and equipment are wired, installed, and working correctly according to local and NEC codes and are ready for inspection.
Supervisory Responsibilities None
Duties and Responsibilities
Install boxes, wire, devices, lighting, breakers, and equipment according to local NEC codes.
Inspect and repair electrical wiring, systems, fixtures in residential new‑construction homes.
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine wiring placement.
Troubleshoot and repair circuitry in new‑home construction.
Maintain safety standards.
Communicate effectively and stay organized.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills and Abilities
Understanding of local and federal regulations for safe electrical systems.
Ability to read and execute blueprints and technical drawings.
Willingness to operate a company vehicle.
Self‑motivated and driven to complete the job to the best of ability.
Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
Physical dexterity and clear communication.
Excellent organizational skills.
Education and Experience
3+ years of fast‑paced residential electrical new‑construction experience.
Valid Driver’s License and clean motor vehicle record.
Physical Requirements
Must possess own hand and power tools.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs at times.
