Pay Range Base pay range: $15.00/hr – $17.00/hr.
Position Summary The Leasing Consultant coordinates all activities related to apartment rentals, move‑ins, move‑outs, and lease renewals. The role engages directly with prospective and current residents to maximize occupancy and retention, supporting property operations and resident relations.
Responsibilities Generate and handle traffic, qualify prospective residents, lease apartments, prepare lease documentation, and complete move‑in paperwork.
Ensure model apartments are in touring condition and orient prospective and current residents to the property.
Process renewal paperwork and deliver documentation to residents on a monthly basis.
Maintain accurate records of traffic activity in the computer system. \p Follow up with all prospective residents via phone, mail, or email.
Convert phone traffic into scheduled appointments for community tours.
Provide excellent customer service to tenants and promote a quality living experience.
Inspect apartments before move‑ins and coordinate move‑in/out schedules with maintenance.
Create and maintain confidential resident files, reviewing move‑in paperwork with new residents.
Complete weekly leasing reports accurately and timely.
Ensure all open and close procedures are completed daily.
Assist with resident relations throughout tenancy, responding promptly to requests.
Shop competitive properties and inspect buildings/grounds for safety and cleanliness, alerting maintenance to repairs.
Process resident work order requests, ensuring timely completion.
Provide clerical support such as answering phones, filing, and processing property invoices.
Assist in planning and implementing resident activities to increase retention.
Participate in company‑provided training on fair housing, safety, non‑discrimination, and harassment prevention.
Skills/Specialized Knowledge
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
Proficient with personal computers, email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Entrata or similar software.
Use of general office equipment (telephone, fax, printer, copier, 10‑key, key‑track system).
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Professional verbal and written communication.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Basic mathematical and accounting functions.
Comprehension of federal fair housing laws and applicable local provisions.
Multi‑tasking ability.
Quick and effective decision making.
Problem analysis and resolution.

Reliability: regular and consistent attendance; overtime may be required.
Availability to work weekends, non‑traditional holidays, on‑call, and staffing shortages.
Willingness to participate in social media content creation.
Some travel may be required.
