Human Resources Generalist – Miller Johnson
Responsibilities
Source candidates through job boards, social media, and referrals. Coordinate internal postings and referral programs, ensuring equal opportunity. Collaborate with hiring managers to clarify job requirements and assess candidates. Conduct initial screenings and assessments of qualifications and fit. Prepare offer letters and communicate firm benefits, policies, and job details. Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment activity in compliance with regulations. Implement streamlined workflows within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for efficiency and positive candidate experience. Develop new hire onboarding including orientation schedules, compliance paperwork, and system setup. Audit pre‑hire and new hire documentation for completeness and accuracy. Prepare and analyze recruitment metrics and reports (time‑to‑fill, source effectiveness, etc.). Adhere to all ethical, HR, safety, and security policies, maintaining confidentiality and integrity. Serve as backup for other team members as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3–5 years of HR experience with emphasis on recruiting and onboarding. Knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements. Proficiency in HRIS and ATS systems; strong organizational and communication skills. Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Zoom; ability to learn new systems. Excellent grammar and communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities. Exceptional client service, discretion, and judgment to ensure confidentiality. Flexible and collaborative work style in a fast‑paced environment.
