Lawn Management Company (LMC) is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative for its Southeast Houston Branch. This full‑time, benefit‑eligible role will source, cold call, and close new business for commercial landscaping maintenance. Typical hours are 8 am‑5 pm, Monday‑Friday. Total compensation includes base salary, commission/bonus, and a car allowance.

Responsibilities

Identify sales opportunities through direct prospecting, lead generation and follow‑up, and networking.

Cold call new prospects and manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, lead follow‑up, qualification, needs analysis, bid preparation, contract negotiation, and closing.

Consistently hit or exceed sales objectives for new customers and/or upsell current customers.

Document daily sales activities, prepare accurate reports and forecasts, manage pipeline, and communicate such activities to management.

Provide field feedback to internal, cross‑functional teams regarding services, selling, and competitive matters.

Transition new accounts to and introduce the Account Manager to clients.

Work collaboratively with the operations team and other sales/marketing groups within the organization.

Attend weekly production meetings to stay abreast of project status and inform the production team of any changes to design or specifications.

Monitor payment terms and coordinate with accounting to collect payments according to the established schedule.

Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge about landscaping services provided by the company.

Develop and maintain an understanding of properties, multi‑family managers, property managers, and their respective budgets and needs.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of progressive B2B business development/sales experience, ideally in landscaping.

Bachelor’s degree in business, management, marketing, or a related field of study is preferred.

Demonstrated successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and the ability to pass pre‑employment background and drug screening.

Alignment with company values and demonstration of those values in the field.
