Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for a Business Development Specialist based in Creve Coeur, MO. The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for driving new business growth by identifying, engaging, and closing new clients for our IT and Managed Services offerings. This is a front‑line sales role focused exclusively on new logo acquisition and new Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR). The BDR does not manage ongoing client relationships after the sale and works closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff.
This role is ideal for someone early in their sales career who is motivated, coachable, and excited to build a foundation in B2B technology sales.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow‑up, and networking
Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospect needs, pain points, and business goals
Present managed services solutions aligned with approved service bundles and pricing
Qualify opportunities and close new managed services agreements
Accurately forecast pipeline activity and maintain CRM hygiene
Collaborate with sales leadership and service teams to ensure clean handoff of new clients
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly new‑MRR targets
Represent the company professionally and ethically in all sales interactions

Consistent achievement of new‑MRR targets
High‑quality clients that onboard smoothly and remain active
Strong activity levels with disciplined follow‑up
Clear communication and documentation throughout the sales process
Qualifications
0–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer‑facing role
Strong analytical skills for evaluating markets, trends, and customer requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven experience in lead generation and market research efforts to drive business growth
Customer service proficiency with a focus on client satisfaction and issue resolution
Ability to learn technical concepts and articulate business value
Proficiency in CRM tools and sales pipeline management is preferred
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in B2B sales or technology services
Familiarity with Managed Services, IT services, or SaaS
Experience prospecting via phone, email, door‑to‑door, and LinkedIn
