The Opportunity The
Buyer Development Account Executive
will be responsible for cultivating strategic client relationships across a portfolio of agencies and brands. You will work closely with your account management counterparts and other regional leaders, and focus on continued revenue growth, the development of the sales strategy and driving new business. Index is financially strong, independent, and in growth mode, with modern technology and no legacy platform drag. We are investing heavily in the areas buyers care about most, including streaming, sell‑side decisioning, and Marketplace innovation, while staying grounded in transparency, neutrality, and partnership.

You are a consultative seller focused on solving your customers’ business needs
You possess a solid understanding of programmatic advertising and our ecosystem
Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
Lead a customer portfolio with focus on identifying revenue growth within both agency and brand direct relationships
Help launch emerging products and sell our strong suite of offerings to clients
Establish and maintain partnerships with the major agency holding companies in collaboration with leadership
Own strategic and leadership relationships at agencies and brands – Director, VP, etc.
Contribute to buyer team best practices and process, and work with regional lead to develop sales strategy for the market
Monitor and track pacing and sales activity using internal tools such as Salesforce and Looker
Participate in quarterly business planning inclusive of your region’s bottom‑up revenue forecasting, identifying revenue growth opportunities and necessary resources needed to support fast growth
Work with marketing and internal stakeholders to identify regional marketing strategies to expand brand presence within each market
Here’s What You Need
Possess 2-4 years experience in digital media sales with a strong understanding of the programmatic market
Hold a deep understanding of markets and customers to target needs and drive sales
Experience developing sales strategies across a portfolio of customers
Existing customer relationships across agencies in brands in the region you will be leading
Able to navigate internal relationships, working with support teams, and work in partnership with other sellers
Creative problem solver that can also be organized and deliberate
Skilled at conveying complex systems and technology in simple to understand terms
An organized self‑starter who is driven to succeed
Salary The base salary range for this role is $100,000‑134,000. The total compensation package may vary depending on non‑discriminatory factors such as job related knowledge, skills and experience.
