Customs Brokerage Coordinator – S2
We’re looking for a highly organized and customer‑focused Customs Brokerage Coordinator to ensure timely release and smooth movement of freight and cargo within FedEx Logistics.
Responsibilities
Provide impeccable customer service to ensure satisfied clients.
Prepare, analyze, and submit documentation to U.S. Customs, agents, and clients in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems that could delay the release or movement of freight.
Maintain relationships with correspondent brokers, T&B, and other service providers to exceed customer service requirements.
Resolve banking and letter‑of‑credit problems and advise customers on payment terms.
Obtain payment on delinquent accounts and complete accounting adjustment forms for review.
Resolve billing issues and coordinate post‑entry activities on behalf of customers.
Accurately input or correct data in computer files.
Perform route‑cause analysis as directed by the Account Administrator.
Coordinate post‑entry activities on the customer’s behalf.
Manage the entry verification process.
Access client systems (external) as necessary.
Communicate with business partners in written, phone, and e‑mail formats.
Produce operational trend reports.
Keep business partners apprised of the exception process.
Respond to Pre‑alert notifications per customer SOP.
Maintain general knowledge of FedEx products and services.
Interact with customers, internal staff/departments, and management of all levels.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer front‑line personnel.
Facilitate entry processing and pre‑arrival and post‑arrival exception resolution.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 6 months of brokerage, transportation, or customer service experience.
Proficient with MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment.
Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to handle high volume and time‑sensitive work independently with minimal supervision.
Detail‑oriented.
Knowledge of HTS classification, the harmonized tariff system, U.S. Customs regulations, and other federal regulations relevant to this role.
Paid training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in customs brokerage or import/export trade compliance.
Understanding of trade compliance policies and procedures.
Strong analytical and data‑reporting skills.
Pay Transparency The compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job‑related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay 15.43 – 24.46 USD hourly.
