Associate – Capital Markets / Private Equity
Short Hills NJ – hybrid (remote options) Salary - $100-115K plus bonus Benefits: Salary plus generous bonus, PTO including extended WFH/remote options during summer and holidays.
In this role you will be part of a team of professionals developing monthly, quarterly and yearend financial reporting for this global company. As an Associate, you will be responsible to: Prepare month reconciliations for various general ledger accounts including cash and equity compensation Prepare monthly journal entries related to cash and equity compensation, including entries in foreign currencies Prepare quarterly compensation related financial reporting including commission calculations and reconciliations Prepare various compensation statements (including year-end compensation, commission, etc.) Work with other company departments including tax and finance to maintain/develop/update various monthly reporting Assist with process improvement projects and software updates/implementations Work closely with auditors for year end and SOX audits Prepare ad hoc analysis and support other management initiatives EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field of study. Minimum of 3 years experience in internal or external audit or examination, or equivalent experience. CPA helpful but not required Prior Equity Based Compensation (ASC718) experience desired. Familiarity with Payroll and ADP helpful Excellent Excel skills required REQUIRED SKILLS: Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills. High level of initiative and motivation. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Outstanding negotiations and persuasion skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
