The

Regional Director of Operations (RDO)

provides strategic and operational leadership for multiple skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities within an assigned region. This role is responsible for driving regulatory compliance, operational excellence, financial performance, and quality outcomes while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and goals. The RDO partners closely with facility leadership to support sustainable operations and high-quality, resident-centered care. Key Responsibilities

Provide direct oversight and operational leadership to assigned skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities to ensure compliance, quality outcomes, and operational consistency.

Drive financial performance through census development, revenue optimization, expense management, and budget oversight.

Coach, mentor, and develop Executive Directors/Administrators to strengthen leadership effectiveness and operational results.

Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and retention of key facility leadership roles.

Conduct regular on-site facility visits to assess performance, identify risks and opportunities, and implement corrective action plans as needed.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including CMS, Department of Health, and OSHA requirements.

Analyze operational, clinical, and quality metrics to identify trends and lead regional performance improvement initiatives.

Serve as a key liaison between facility leadership and corporate teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, and resident-focused care across the region.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) in good standing in the state of Ohio.

Minimum of

five (5) years

of experience in long-term care facility management, including

at least two (2) years

in a regional or multi-site leadership role.

Strong working knowledge of long-term care regulations, financial management, and quality improvement methodologies.

Proven leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned region.
