Executive Oncology Sales Specialist, Lung (Raleigh, NC) – Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Lead the sales and commercialization of innovative lung cancer therapeutics from discovery through market adoption. Based in Raleigh, NC, you will partner with hospitals, oncology clinicians and specialty pharmacies to drive demand and patient access to J&J’s oncology portfolio.

Job Description We are searching for an experienced oncology sales specialist to work directly with a District Manager, delivering on sales targets for current and new lung cancer therapies.

Responsibilities

Execute sales strategies to promote current and forthcoming oncology therapeutics.

Show deep clinical knowledge of products, providing evidence‑based support to prescribers while meeting quota.

Conduct territory analysis, prospect new accounts, and develop account strategies in partnership with the District Manager.

Plan pre‑ and post‑call objectives, probes, and materials for each engagement.

Build and nurture relationships with key decision‑makers, delivering targeted sales messages using approved evidence‑based materials.

Collaborate with J&J Innovative Medicine team members to share insights and enhance overall business performance.

Maintain awareness of market dynamics including reimbursement, managed‑care contracts, and new clinical pathways that affect sales potential.

Attend all required sales meetings, complete training, and manage administrative tasks such as compliance reports, expense tracking, and call logging.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor's degree.

Oncology specialty sales and/or major hospital account experience.

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel, including overnights and weekends.

At least two (2) years of direct sales experience in pharma or biologics with proven results in meeting or exceeding targets.

Experience in large account sales with a solid track record of navigating reimbursement and managed‑care systems.

Strong relationship‑building and decision‑maker identification skills.

Motivated to exceed goals and consistent achievement orientation.

Residing in the Raleigh region or willing to relocate.

Proficiency with virtual communication tools and history of engaging customers online.

Preferred Qualifications

Hematology or rare‑disease specialty experience with deep understanding of the oncology market.

Previous product‑launch experience in a highly competitive environment.

Experience in Multiple Myeloma sales.

Required Skills
