Reporting to the Director of Sales CPG, the National Account Manager (NAM) leads, develops, manages, optimizes, and coordinates new and existing business with Walmart and Sam’s Club. The National Account Manager is responsible for driving and delivering sales and profit goals for multiple premium and super premium brands of coffee and tea, managing trade budgets within guidelines, and effectively interacting with Peet’s Planning, Insights, Marketing, Operations, and Distribution Teams.
The NAM will work closely with their buyers to develop comprehensive and strategic account plans, drive successful launches of LTO and new items, while delivering needed financials.**Northwest Arkansas - Fayetteville, Bentonville, and surrounding areas. This is a full-time, exempt position.****What You Will Do**Planning:* Strategic thinking: Can accurately analyze business trends in the marketplace and tie to business needs. Can effectively assess current processes to identify improvements that will drive consumption and share gains with Peet’s & retailer sales and profitability.* Drive for results: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, setting plans and strengthening partnerships.* Planning & Partnership: Utilizes all appropriate resources to maximize effective and realistic planning, internally and externally with retailers.* Adaptable: Able to course correct based on company, business demands.* Team Player: Willingness and ability to manage all aspects of account management from beginning to end.* Communication: Adept at clear, concise, and timely messaging across various audiences and stages.Execution:* Development of fact-based data analysis and presentations that will drive Peet’s profitable volume while growing our customer’s business - focusing on increased distribution/space gains, strategic promotions, display support.* Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, including key decision makers to understand account goals and strategies.* Own and manage the day to day operations with Walmart, leveraging cross functional partners and building processes, as needed, to increase efficiency and improve execution* Provide support and insights to buyers to offer Peet’s point of view to maximize the category performance.* Coffee and Tea expertise-continually developing business, trends, product, and share knowledge with customers to educate them on the Peet's Coffee portfolio of brands.Management:* Lead the development and execution of account business plans throughout the entire customer life cycle.* Strong time management skills- balance between proactive analytical work and an ability to also respond to short lead time projects based on current needs.* Tracking, reporting, and publishing of business results.* Manage resources, time, and projects to maximum efficiency.**Who You Are*** 5+ years of Walmart & Sam’s Club Account Management experience* Strong financial acumen and experience with analytics and forecasting* High degree of proficiency with Excel, Power Point, Trade Management systems, Retail Link, and Luminate.* Excellent written and oral communications skills.* Working knowledge and experience collaborating with marketing, supply chain, insights, and finance; ability to collaborate and influence across groups internally and externally.* Results oriented, organized, motivated, with an ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.* Field/travel time of 30%.This description outlines the role’s essential functions but may evolve with business needs.**What We Offer:**

The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the applicant’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education, certifications or licenses, other legitimate non-discriminatory business factors, and the geographic location of the role.
