Role Overview We are seeking a senior-level

Director of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)

to lead and execute

enterprise-wide EHS strategy

across a

multi-plant industrial manufacturing organization . This role owns the development, governance, and continuous improvement of

corporate EHS programs , ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and risk mitigation across all facilities.

This position requires a seasoned EHS leader with

15+ years of progressive experience , demonstrated

corporate functional responsibility , and a strong background in

manufacturing environments>. The successful candidate will balance strategic leadership with hands‑on program execution, team development, and executive‑level influence.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate EHS Leadership

Develop, implement, and continuously improve

corporate-wide EHS programs

across multiple manufacturing sites.

Serve as the senior EHS authority for policy, governance, and compliance standards enterprise-wide.

Provide strategic counsel to executive leadership on EHS risk, performance, and regulatory exposure.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with all applicable

U.S. federal and state EHS regulations

(OSHA, EPA, RCRA, SPCC, NPDES, etc.).

Maintain working knowledge of

Mexican and Canadian environmental regulations

(preferred).

Lead regulatory audits, inspections, and agency interactions; proactively address findings and mitigation plans.

Multi-Plant Manufacturing Support

Oversee EHS performance across

multiple industrial manufacturing facilities , ensuring consistent standards and best practices.

Partner with plant leadership to drive a strong safety culture and environmental stewardship.

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of EHS professionals across sites.

Build organizational capability through training, succession planning, and performance management.

Sustainability & Data Management

Oversee

EHS and sustainability data aggregation , reporting, verification, and performance metrics.

Support ESG and sustainability reporting initiatives aligned with corporate objectives.

Environmental Remediation & Consultants

Manage legacy

soil and groundwater remediation programs , including financial reserves and long‑term liability planning.

Engage and manage external

consultants, engineers, and environmental firms

to resolve compliance and remediation issues.

Project & Program Management

Lead enterprise‑level EHS initiatives using structured

project management methodologies .

Drive cross‑functional collaboration and influence without direct authority.

Qualifications

Minimum 15 years

of professional EHS experience, including

at least 5 years leading corporate‑wide EHS programs

Demonstrated

career progression into a corporate or enterprise EHS leadership role

Strong background in

industrial or manufacturing environments

(multi‑plant required)

Proven experience

managing and developing EHS teams

Extensive knowledge of

U.S. federal and state environmental and safety regulations

Working knowledge of

Mexican and Canadian environmental regulations

(preferred)

Experience with

sustainability reporting, data systems, and verification

Proven success managing

environmental remediation projects , consultants, and financial reserves

Exceptional

communication, presentation, and influencing skills

Strong

analytical, project management, and executive reporting

capabilities

Ideal Candidate Profile This role is best suited for a

true corporate EHS leader , not a single‑site manager. The ideal candidate has already owned

enterprise EHS programs , influenced senior leadership, and successfully operated in complex, regulated manufacturing environments.
