Job Summary
This position accepts the responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care with the multidisciplinary team while using the nursing process and maintaining professional nursing standards. Birth Center and Pediatrics are considered "sister" units and staff float are expected to float between these units.
Hours 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. (6 week rotating schedule), every 3rd weekend, every other holiday.

Position Qualifications
Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Previous experience in obstetric care and/or acute care preferred.
Special Skills and Competencies
Successful certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring via National Certification Center (NCC) within 1 year of starting orientation to the Labor and Delivery area and maintains certification.
Preferred professional certification related to clinical specialty (from the Magnet approved certifications).
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department needs.
Self-motivated, detail oriented individual able to work with minimum supervision.
