Electrical Foreman – Lafayette, IN

is currently seeking an Electrical Foreman.
The Electrical Foreman plays a pivotal role in the growth and development of the company. A successful Foreman supervises and coordinates the activities of craft workers engaged in the layout, installation, and repair of wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. The Foreman continually motivates his crew in taking ownership and pride in achieving the overall goals of the company.
Location Lafayette, IN and surrounding area
Hours Full‑time
Responsibilities
Oversee projects in multi‑family homes
Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers in accordance with the engineers’ specifications and the National Electric Code
Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for the area of supervision
Maintain working relationships with subcontractors, division managers, and other skilled trades
Analyze and resolve work problems
Maintain knowledge of and enforce company safety rules and procedures
Quickly correct any potential hazard or promptly report the hazard to the responsible person
Assess material, equipment, and labor needed to complete assigned tasks and ensure all items required are ordered and at the job site in compliance with scheduled requirements
Communicate with others, including taking direction from a supervisor and able to give direction in a way that is understood
Minimum Education None
Minimum Years of Experience 2‑4 years
Specific Qualifications
At least 2 years experience as a Residential Electrical Foreman
Possess knowledge of the current National Electric Code
A valid driver’s license
Must be able to pass and comply with all safety training, background check and drug testing requirements
Ability to read and accurately interpret construction electrical drawings
Demonstrates safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment
License Required Yes
