Residential Direct Care Associate – Adult (Temp, PRN)

Position Summary No Experience Required, On-site Training Provided. NCHSC Open Arms is seeking dedicated Direct Care Associates to join our team. We are hiring for temporary positions with various shifts available. Temporary positions are part-time, ongoing and on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities As a Residential Direct Care Associate – Adult working with adults in a residential setting, you will provide positive mentoring and guidance to individuals impacted by behavioral health disorders. You will serve as a role model, exhibiting a positive and respectful approach in all interactions. You will teach daily living activities, including household tasks, hygiene tasks, effective communication, and socialization with the goal of helping those you serve increase their independence.
An important part of this position is assisting the individuals in articulating their goals and what is important for them. You will teach self-advocacy and self-help strategies to assist them in reaching their goals.
Qualifications To be considered for this position, applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.
This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
Location ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position provides essential client services face to face and therefore the person in this position needs to be able to travel to meet clients at their location.
