Director of Water & Wastewater Master Planning
Hybrid position based in one of our regional offices across North Carolina.
Base pay range: $140,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr
In this role, you will define the long-term strategy for sustainable water and wastewater solutions—turning data into actionable plans, obstacles into opportunities, and ideas into resilient infrastructure. You will collaborate with dedicated professionals, engage with community partners, and develop strategies that influence how cities evolve and adapt. Most importantly, you will guide a talented team of engineers and consultants, providing mentorship and fostering innovation.
Role and Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive water and wastewater master plans that balance current needs with future growth.
Work closely with senior leadership to implement sustainable, practical strategies.
Advance data collection and analysis techniques for smarter insights.
Manage multiple projects with a focus on quality, efficiency, and timely delivery.
Lead and mentor a high-performing team.
Build trust with agencies, communities, and stakeholders.
Ensure regulatory compliance while promoting innovation and sustainability.
Explore emerging technologies and methods to enhance modeling and planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Required proficiency in WaterGems, PCSWMM, and ArcGIS Suite.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
