This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth
development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Executive Director provides strategic and operational
leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs and services that advance the mission of the YMCA of
Memphis & The MidSouth and support the Association’s strategic plan. Reporting to the District Vice President of Operations, this position oversees all aspects of the Bartlett YMCA, including a $2.5 million operating budget, 3,700
membership units, and a 55,000-square-foot facility.
Key responsibilities include program and membership development and growth, facility operations, staff and volunteer leadership, financial development, fiscal management, philanthropy and community partnerships including local city government.
● Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business or equivalent preferred.
● 3 or more years of successful high level operations and management/ leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
● Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of Branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development.
● Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders to Center board preferred.
● Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations.
● Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations, municipalities, and corporate partners.
● Y Multi-Team or Organizational Leader preferred
