Recreation Coordinator

Help plan and oversee a variety of recreation programs, events, and activities for the community. This role coordinates program schedules, supervises part-time staff and volunteers, and supports day-to-day operations for offerings such as aquatics, youth programs, sports leagues, fitness classes, and special events. The position also assists with program marketing, community partnerships, and ensuring activities are safe, organized, and enjoyable. What You'll Do For The City Of Kingman: Recreation Program Development & Coordination (40%)

Plan, organize, market, implement, and evaluate a variety of recreation programs, events, and activities including aquatics, after-school programs, sports leagues, special events, fitness classes, camps, and cultural activities. Coordinate program schedules, staffing, instructors, and facility needs. Community Engagement & Customer Service (30%)

Work directly with participants, parents, volunteers, schools, and partner groups. Respond to inquiries, resolve concerns, and help build strong community relationships that support programs and events. Staff Support & Supervision (20%)

Recruit, train, schedule, and guide part-time staff, seasonal employees, instructors, and volunteers. Provide day-to-day direction and ensure safe, consistent program operations. Administrative & Marketing Support (10%)

Assist with program budgets, reports, registration activities, and facility coordination. Prepare promotional materials, website updates, and communications for upcoming activities.
