Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging The Baldwin School, an all‑girls college preparatory, seeks a dynamic leader for its DEIB program (Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) starting July 1, 2026. The Director reports to the Head of School and works with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement a strategic DEIB vision aligned with the school’s mission of academic and intellectual pluralism.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Head of School and Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement Baldwin’s DEIB vision, strategy, and measurable outcomes.

Lead DEIB initiatives under the third pillar of the strategic plan: Cultivating our Community.

Advise the leadership team on best practices for DEIB integration across curriculum, wellness, admissions, hiring, communications and operations.

Design and deliver professional development that strengthens inclusive pedagogy, equitable practices and cross‑disciplinary DEIB integration.

Build faculty capacity for academic and intellectual pluralism, manage complexity and facilitate courageous conversations.

Provide coaching to administrators, faculty and staff on DEIB policies and culturally responsive practices.

Partner with Human Resources to strengthen hiring, talent management and HR policies for equity.

Serve as a resource for students, families, faculty and staff on DEIB matters.

Support and advise affinity groups and leaders across all divisions, and liaise with DEIB parent affinity groups.

Attend school meetings, division gatherings and external events to maintain visibility.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.

Qualifications

Graduate degree in education, school leadership or related field.

Experience leading DEIB programs and integrating DEIB into school life.

Understanding of child and adolescent development; experience in a school environment preferred.

Strategic mindset and ability to navigate the evolving landscape of DEIB work.

Commitment to Baldwin’s all‑girls mission and dedication to inclusive belonging.

Capacity to design, manage and deliver high‑quality training and education programs.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to diverse constituencies.

High level of confidentiality, professionalism and relational approach grounded in approachability, transparency and responsiveness.

Ability to build and sustain diverse relationships across broad constituencies.
