Entry-level, specialized technical work reviewing, analyzing, coordinating, and inspecting various types of development plans and permit applications. Evaluates development plans and permit applications for compliance with the Unified Land Development Code (ULDC). Performs work with basic comprehension on technical matters within the scope of landscaping material, and installation methods and procedures to determine their compliance with stated code requirements and County regulations, policies, and guidelines. Work is performed under the general supervision of an administrative superior and reviewed through conferences, reports, and results obtained.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from high school or equivalent recognized certification; minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Landscape Contractor, Nursery Manager, Forester, Arborist, or in the landscape design/installation field.

Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban/Regional Planning, Urban Design, Geography, or closely related field

Unrelated Bachelor’s Degree or Associate's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban/Regional Planning, Urban Design, Geography, or closely related field and one (1) year of related experience.

PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE IN/WITH Enforcing the ULDC through building permit and zoning application review; interpreting grading, civil, landscape construction, and zoning site plan information; analyzing permit and zoning application information and formulating recommendations. Also desirable: Knowledge of landscape, environmental, and engineering principles and practices(must specify on application); International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Arborist Certification(copy of certification must be uploaded to online application within three (3) business days of application submittal).
