As a Director, you will be a “player‑coach,” leading a team and serving as the main conduit between Healthcare clients and our team on complex assignments, many centered around the MedTech and medical device space. You are responsible for end‑to‑end delivery of projects, including overseeing interview activities, gathering relevant data, modeling, creating valuable insights and deliverables, developing goals and deadlines, reviewing work product of junior staff, and communicating directly with clients. Technology Assessment: We support the review and analysis of platform, data, and system architectures, and related applications for due diligence, self‑assessment, or transformation objectives. Performance Improvement / Operational Turnaround: We assess businesses and identify key performance impediments quickly and effectively, either as interim management or advisory capacity. Cost Optimization: A holistic, cross‑functional approach that identifies high‑impact opportunities for EBITDA and cash‑flow improvements across the entire cost structure. M&A Services: We support companies throughout the M&A lifecycle, including operational/synergy due diligence, integration planning and execution, and divestiture planning. Finance Operations: We improve finance operations, including management reporting and optimization of the month‑end close process. Interim Management: In selected instances, one of HCS’s experienced operators may step into an interim role (CEO, COO, CFO, CIO) while a full‑time replacement is recruited. How You Will Contribute
Rapidly identify and implement opportunities to significantly reduce cost structure by redesigning org structures and refocusing the business. Review go‑to‑market strategies, including pricing, sales compensation plans, and sales force effectiveness. Build and manage financial models and conduct financial and operating analyses, including synergy and pro‑forma statements. Provide project management assistance and overall governance support through cost‑takeout, transaction, and integration processes. Utilize and/or create project‑management tools and templates to track activities and progress (e.g., Smartsheet). Leverage tools such as Smartsheet, Lucid, PowerBI, and Generative AI to provide efficient solutions. Guide clients through crisis and rapid solution implementation. Develop operational data analysis to track and drive meaningful change. Lead various work streams and manage day‑to‑day engagement priorities with senior‑level guidance. Prepare client‑ready deliverables and presentations; make presentations to clients. Coach and mentor junior staff. Build relationships with clients and identify opportunities to expand business scope. Support marketing initiatives and pitch preparation. Help build product and service offering tools and templates. High energy individuals with a passion for healthcare and solving complex issues. Minimum 12 years of prior work experience in healthcare with a MedTech focus on commercial, engineering, operations, or finance. A mix of consulting and industry experience is preferred. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; proficiency in Visio, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, SPSS, benchmarking is a plus. Ability to run an engagement with little oversight, maintaining strong project‑management and organizational skills. Solid understanding of the M&A process, including operational and commercial due diligence. Working knowledge of the MedTech industry across channels and value chain, including COGS, CROs, CMOs, CDMOs. Prior experience working with PE firms. Experience managing client engagements, deliverables, and workstreams while mentoring junior staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Willingness and ability to travel as required. BA/BS and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or related healthcare fields such as MHA or MPH. Commercial Skills
Familiarity with pricing structures, local agreements (GPO/IDN) group purchasing orgs, and contracting processes. Understanding of commercial channels such as ASCs, hospitals, home health, and distribution. Understanding of sales compensation structures. High‑level grasp of Medicare and managed care landscape. Knowledge of product profitability analyses. Operational Skills
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including direct and contract manufacturing, distribution and logistics, S&OP, warehousing/3PL models, and relevant systems. Knowledge of manufacturing standards, standard costing methodologies, inventory management strategies, vendor consolidation, and insource vs. outsourcing models. Your Journey at A&M
