Reformed Theological Seminary
The Location Lead Pastor is responsible for providing spiritual, pastoral, and strategic leadership for a specific church location or campus, in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the broader church organization. This role is responsible for advancing the overall vision and mission of Faith Church at the local level through strategic leadership, preaching and teaching, pastoral care, and oversight of location staff and ministries. The Location Lead Pastor serves as the primary communicator at the location, ensures alignment with centralized church initiatives, and fosters a Christ-centered, welcoming environment that encourages spiritual growth and community outreach. This leader works closely with the Elders, central church leadership, and leads the location leadership team, while empowering location staff and volunteers to carry out the day‑to‑day ministry and operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
Implementing the Mission, Vision and Values of Faith Church at the location:
Lead and oversee location staff (eg, Worship Director, Faith Kids, Tech Arts) and location leadership teams to advance the Faith Church vision within the community.
Develop and implement strategies to engage the disconnected and disciple the connected within your specific location and community
Integrate and evaluate high standards of ministry excellence at the location
Foster spiritual growth and community engagement within the local church, while serving as a visible, relational representative of Faith Church in the broader community
Collaborate with the Communications Team to oversee and streamline communication between Worship and Technical Arts, Faith Kids Ministry, and any central ministries that impact the local site
Collaborate with other pastors to ensure ministry alignment and share best practices
Work with location deacons and staff on budget management
Keep the location leadership team informed about location activities, needs, and health of the location
Pastoral Responsibilities:
Oversee the communication, scheduling, and logistical coordination for worship services, events, and ministry initiatives, ensuring smooth execution of location activities
Teach the majority of weekend worship services and assist in planning service formats in collaboration with the Worship Leader
Administer sacraments (eg, communion) and lead membership and baptism classes
Provide pastoral care and counseling in collaboration with the elders
Officiate weddings, funerals, and other ceremonies as requested
Participation in the Life of the Whole Church and its Partners:
Attend Kingdom Network meetings and participate in denomination teams as required
Contribute to church‑wide teams and task forces as needed
Network and collaborate with ministries aligned with Faith Church to share resources and best practices
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the ministry of Faith Church

Position Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong biblical knowledge, theology, and ministry practices, with the ability to apply these principles in leadership and teaching
Demonstrated experience working in a ministry context
Understands and supports the vision of Faith Church and how multi‑site ministry fulfills that vision
Exhibits a spirit of cooperation, teamwork, and a willingness to learn
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Committed to collaborative teamwork and embodying a servant leadership mindset
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the ministry and the local congregation
Proficient in computer skills, including experience with Google Workspace such as Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Drive, enabling efficient communication, collaboration, and document management
Education, Licenses, Registrations, Certificates
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Ordained as a pastor is required
Coursework in theology, bible history, and ministry is essential
Physical Demands
Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods, with the ability to use hands for fine manipulation. Ability to communicate clearly through speaking and listening. Must be capable of lifting and/or moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Centrally, the pastor will work closely with the Senior Pastor and Executive Administrator/Pastor in carrying out the mission and vision of Faith Church. Locally, the pastor will lead the Dyer location in the areas of teaching, oversight, and shepherding, and will spearhead the locations’ efforts to achieve Faith Church’s mission and vision in ways uniquely suited to the Faith Dyer community.
