Wellvana is looking for an Art Director to join our Experience team. This role will aid in conceptualizing and lead the creation of memorable campaigns, content, and marketing to further our mission to make primary care life‑changing.
Role Overview
Our ideal candidate possesses a desire to learn and grow, has an incredible attention to detail, is a skilled communicator, can think big, execute flawlessly, and deliver design solutions that are on brand, emotionally resonant, and audience relevant. A “jack of all trades”, you will support across a wide range of mediums and formats, including print, digital, environmental collateral, art direction for video and photo, email and direct mail campaigns, and occasionally UX/UI. Versatility is a pre‑requisite; you must be comfortable shifting between creative concepting, execution, and production‑level tasks.
Responsibilities
Take a project from strategy and insights to innovative concepts and creative completion.
Help strengthen and expand Wellvana’s brand identity system and sub‑brands to address evolving nuances within our provider, patient, and health system audiences.
Own every aspect of a project timeline with minimal oversight, communicating any flags or issues proactively to manage stakeholder expectations.
Identify and execute unexpected solutions, bringing stakeholders along and articulating design decisions.
Gather and implement feedback from key team members to build thoughtful and considered designs that address key insights and strategy.
Advocate for your ideas, elevate others, and operate collaboratively and diplomatically in everything you do.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts, Fine Arts, Communication or related field preferred.
Related Experience
7+ years of professional graphic design experience, including branding, print layout, and digital practices.
Proven portfolio showcasing thoughtful and well‑executed creative.
Ready to become an expert in healthcare and roll up sleeves.
Experience with in‑house brands helpful but not required.
Skills
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Figma.
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and experience with ESP platforms (Braze, Lob, or equivalent) is a huge plus.
Comfortable with presentation software (PowerPoint and Figma).
Experience taking content across multiple media (digital, social, blog, etc.).
Ability to handle multiple projects in different production stages.
Creative thinker, self‑starter, and collaborative team player.
Deliver on tight deadlines without compromising quality and standards.
Working Conditions
Hybrid role; ideally based in Nashville headquarters at least three days per week.
Some travel may be required.
Reporting
Reports to the Director of Creative, partners with the Sr. Brand Designer, and works closely with Content Strategy, CRM, Events, Editorial, Growth, and Partner Success.
