Overview Electrical Design Engineer - Lexington, KY Location: Lexington, Kentucky Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site / Monday/Friday 6 month contract Start Date: November 18, 2025 About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Design Specialist with advanced technical expertise in design software and multidisciplinary collaboration. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, reviewing, and refining detailed engineering designs and drawings in both 2D and 3D environments. Key Responsibilities Utilize AutoCAD , MicroStation , and Excel to develop and deliver high-quality design documentation. Apply advanced knowledge of 2D and 3D applications to prepare accurate and efficient engineering drawings. Perform and review design calculations , ensuring precision and compliance with applicable standards and project requirements. Apply strong understanding of design theory and practices within your assigned discipline, while maintaining awareness of related disciplines to ensure cohesive design solutions. Collaborate effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers in a multidisciplinary team environment to resolve design or drawing issues. Learn and implement new design software and technologies as needed to enhance productivity and design accuracy. Ensure quality, consistency, and attention to detail across all deliverables. Qualifications & Skills Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD , MicroStation , and Microsoft Excel . Proven ability to produce detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings . Strong foundation in design systems , calculations , and discipline-specific theory .
