Floral Designer – Community Options, Inc. (Princeton, NJ) Community Options, Inc. is a national nonprofit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are seeking a part‑time Floral Designer to work out of our Princeton location. The Floral Designer creates quality flower arrangements, bouquets, wreaths, terrariums, and other items. This person will deliver exceptional customer service and may handle phone, orders, data entry, inventory management, deliveries, and light shop maintenance. Starting pay: $17.00 per hour (must be willing to work some Saturdays). Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED 3 years of experience working in a flower shop Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record Wide range of floral arrangement knowledge (daily work orders, wire services, funerals, weddings, etc.) Knowledge of how to properly use floral tools Ability to maintain effective relationships with management staff, employees, and the general public Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Time‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form Responsibilities Consult with clients to effectively communicate design, price, and delivery details Handle cash and use a cash register Assist supervisor with prepping event work Decorate venues and event spaces Perform opening and closing duties as needed Maintain inventory, including watering, cutting, conditioning, and cleaning of plants and flowers Create arrangements, bouquets, and other items Inform customers about the care, maintenance, and handling of various items Design and change in‑store and window displays to enhance the shop’s image Perform office and retail service duties, such as serving customers, answering telephones, selling giftware items, and receiving payment Perform general cleaning duties to keep the store tidy Unpack stock as it comes into the shop Cooperate with the licensee and department staff during inspections, enquiries, or investigations, as an ADA‑compliant business Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned Benefits Competitive Insurance Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) Paid Holidays – including a Birthday Holiday Generous PTO Employee Incentive & Discount Programs 403(b) Retirement Plan Incredible career growth opportunities Community Options is an Equal Opportunity Employer – M/F/D/V. #J-18808-Ljbffr
