We are seeking a Technical Instructional Designer / Learning Experience Designer to help design and scale training systems that support engineers, technicians, and technical leaders as they onboard, upskill, and grow with ASI. This role partners closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to translate complex technical knowledge into clear, effective, and performance‑driven learning experiences.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who thrives in technical environments and cares deeply about clarity, usability, and real‑world application.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and maintain onboarding and technical training programs for engineers, technicians, and technical leaders.
Partner with subject‑matter experts to capture tools, systems, workflows, and best practices.
Translate complex technical concepts into structured, learner‑focused content.
Develop a mix of learning assets, including:
eLearning modules
Job aids and performance support tools
Video and blended learning content
Instructor‑led and asynchronous training
Apply instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Agile for Learning) to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
Build assessments and feedback loops to measure training effectiveness and skill adoption.
Continuously update learning content as products, tools, and processes evolve.
Support and improve ASI's learning management system and digital learning tools.
Act as a representative of Corporate Training, building strong cross‑functional partnerships.

New hires are fully onboarded and contributing within their first 90 days.
Technical leaders trust the training system and use it to support performance and development.
Learning content is practical, accessible, and easy to navigate.
Skills development is structured, measurable, and repeatable.
Training scales as ASI continues to grow.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education, Engineering, or a related field.
2‑4 years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or technical training development.
Experience designing training for technical or high‑tech environments.
Strong ability to translate complex technical material into clear, learner‑friendly content.
Proficiency with modern eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Rise, Captivate, or similar).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working directly with engineers, technicians, or technical SMEs.
Familiarity with LMS platforms and learning standards (SCORM, xAPI).
Experience with video production, animation, or interactive learning tools.
Background in job task analysis, competency modeling, or performance‑based training.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and user‑centered design.
