They are seeking a high potential Tax Staff Accountant who is either a CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification. The position will provide exposure to various tax returns and client industries, offering ample opportunities for growth and mentorship. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corporations, and C-corporations.
- Assist in tax planning and compliance to optimize tax strategies for clients.
- Research complex tax issues and prepare clear, concise documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely filings.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary financial data and address inquiries.
- Stay updated on tax regulations and best practices to support client needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification required.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation preferred (internship experience will be considered).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
