Description We are looking for an Senior Tax Associate to join our dynamic public accounting firm in St. Cloud, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a key part in managing tax compliance tasks for individual and corporate clients while fostering strong client relationships. • Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and address tax-related inquiries.
• Ensure timely completion of all tax filings while managing multiple deadlines effectively.
• Provide tax consulting services and offer strategic advice to clients based on their unique financial situations.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data with the utmost care.
• Utilize tax software such as Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding tax matters and updates.
• Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate guidance.
• Support the development of entry-level staff by sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Contribute to process improvements and the implementation of efficient workflows within the firm.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in individual and corporate tax preparation.
• Proficiency in tax software, including Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Knowledge of current tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Leadership skills to mentor and collaborate with team members.
