Professional Relations Manager Gateway Foundation, a national non‑profit dedicated to helping individuals with substance use and mental health disorders, is seeking a Professional Relations Manager (PRM) to promote our full continuum of care and develop strategic referral relationships. Location This role supports northern region locations, including detox and residential sites such as Aurora and Lake Villa, and outpatient sites in Downers Grove, Joliet, and Gurnee. Must be able to live and work in the Greater Chicagoland area; local travel required. Work Schedule Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Flexibility required for evening or weekend events as needed Bonuses / Perks Company car provided Company credit card provided Bonus up to $6,000 per quarter if clinical sites meet or exceed revenue goals Mission of the PRM Promote Gateway’s services and develop referral relationships to increase patient admissions through strategic partnerships, event participation, and partnership development. PRM Duties Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic partnerships, alliances, and collaborations. Research and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform business development strategies. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, referral sources, community organizations, and potential clients. Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals that meet prospective client needs. Coordinate and participate in networking events, conferences, and industry gatherings to promote Gateway Foundation’s services. Track, measure, and report on key performance metrics related to business development activities. Support the development and implementation of marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and generate leads. Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations, policies, and reimbursement practices that may impact business development efforts. Assist in the creation of marketing materials, presentations, and other collateral. Contribute to continuous improvement of business development processes and strategies through feedback and innovation. PRM Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field. 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably within the healthcare or addiction treatment industry. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building rapport and negotiating effectively. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strategic thinker with a proactive, results‑oriented mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management software. Knowledge of addiction treatment services and behavioral healthcare landscape is a plus. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 100% locally. Must have or be willing to obtain personal car insurance. Physical Requirements Communicate in person or by telephone. Proofread, check, and verify data in printed form and on computer displays. Use keyboard and monitor to enter, retrieve, and audit information. Operate a motor vehicle safely and remain alert to traffic conditions. Stoop and bend, reach and grab with arms and hands, and lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Remain alert to traffic signs and conditions. Compensation Base salary of $60,664 – $97,498 per year, based on relevant experience and credentials. Annual performance reviews with merit increases.
