About the Role

Director of Hospitality & Beverage owns all beverage and hospitality operations at PADEL39 (East Austin) — including an in-house coffee shop and CLUB39 , our new sports bar concept. You will build the team, help design processes, elevate product quality, oversee financial performance, and champion the PADEL39 F&B guest experience from morning to night. As we expand, this role can grow into a multi‑unit Director overseeing all beverage & hospitality for PADEL39 . Start date early 2026.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture

  • Hire, train, and develop baristas, bartenders, and shift leaders.
  • Build a strong, positive, inclusive culture rooted in outstanding hospitality.
  • Lead by example with presence, service excellence, and team development.
  • Implement cross‑training to strengthen flexibility + a unified service experience.

Operations Management

  • Create SOPs for coffee, bar, service flow, labor, opening/closing, cleanliness, and quality control.
  • Oversee scheduling and labor management across both programs.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, vendor relationships, and equipment upkeep.
  • Coordinate service integration with the outsourced food partner.

Beverage Program Design

  • Oversee coffee quality, dialing‑in standards, menu development, and supplier partnerships.
  • Lead cocktail, beer, wine, and non‑alcoholic menu creation for CLUB39 .
  • Refresh menus seasonally in alignment with the PADEL39 brand.
  • Ensure consistently exceptional beverage execution.

Financial Management

  • Own weekly P&Ls for coffee + bar.
  • Maintain target COGS and labor % through smart systems and training.
  • Reduce waste, tighten operational controls, and drive revenue growth.
  • Forecast demand for both daytime and evening business.

Brand, Programming & Events

  • Partner with marketing & events to activate the club across day and night.
  • Ensure all hospitality touchpoints reflect PADEL39's energy, design, and values.
  • Bring creative ideas to strengthen community, guest engagement, and revenue.

Growth & Scale

  • After a successful launch, help build playbooks for future PADEL39 locations.
  • Potential to oversee multi‑unit beverage & hospitality teams as we expand.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in hospitality leadership (GM, AGM, Director, Multi‑Unit strongly preferred).
  • Experience managing both coffee and high‑volume bar programs under one roof.
  • Experience opening a venue or leading a rebuild/relaunch.
  • Strong financial acumen: labor, COGS, P&L ownership.
  • Proven ability to build teams and develop talent.
  • Thrives in high‑energy, entrepreneurial environments.
  • Passion for sports, wellness, or lifestyle brands; familiarity with padel is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Total Potential Compensation: $95,000-$120,000
  • Base Salary:$80,000–$95,000 (based on skills and experience)
  • Annual Bonus Potential:$15,000–$25,000 (performance‑based)
